I'm Stephanie!

I'm a literacy teacher educator and have a love for all things reading, writing, learning and loving. 

I’ve carved out a little corner of the virtual world just for preservice teachers to cultivate their reading lives and build their classroom library from the start.

We read, explore authors and build a robust collection of books ready to share with our future students. 

A strong classroom reading community starts with teachers who read. 

Books and reading have the power to transform our lives. We meet new friends, travel to locations we've never been and learn valuable life lessons with each turn of the page. 

But building a current and diverse classroom library can be a daunting task. Where do we begin? What do we get books? Which titles should I choose?

That's where the Build My KidLit Library comes in handy. Each month, you'll receive a hand-selected book perfectly suited to the grade level you hope to teach so you can literally read your way to a better classroom library.

How's It Work?

It's simple!

First, choose the grade level you'd like to receive books for: picture book, elementary or middle/high school. 

Next, wait for your specially-chosen book to arrive each month!

Then, scan the QR code in your package that accompanies your detailed information about the book, the author, other books the author has written and read-alikes you might enjoy, too! Save these files on your Google Drive and build your knowledge of KidLit over time!

But there's more! You'll get first access to our holiday and themed collections, pop-up book clubs and book societies and more!
