I'm Stephanie!
I have a love for all things literacy teaching, coaching and leading. I’ve dedicated my career to creating spaces for learning that build teacher expertise, spark intentional reflection and connect philosophy to pedagogy.
I’ve carved out a little corner of the virtual world just for instructional coaches and leaders to fuel their work and receive the same level of support and energy they provide for their teachers.
My professional passion? I've fused my love of notebooks, markers and sticky notes with digital tools and technology to innovate instructional coaching and lifelong teacher reading, writing and learning.

The Coaching Sketchnote Blog and Podcast is dedicated to lead the learning of those who lead the learning of others. Each week, I offer a page of my own personal coaching sketchnote book in hopes is supports and inspires your own coaching. I share my favorite opening moves, virtual coaching tools, ideas to build strong teacher learning communities, tips for book clubs, how to design teacher learning sessions and more.
But blogs and podcasts can only take us so far.
So, I've created The Coaching Sketchnote Book Members Community, a thriving online community dedicated to literacy educators, coaches and leaders. Each month, we come together in a live virtual Zoom call to talk shop. I mean, when was the last time someone planned enjoyable professional learning for you? Think of this community as the coach you've always wanted, the coaching community you've always craved and the tools and resources you didn't know you needed right at your fingertips!
Each month, we'll meet live to connect and collaborate:
- Each 1 - 1.5 hour session is held virtually through Zoom on the last Thursday of every month. Attending live is best, but all sessions are recorded and shared immediately after the session ends. And yes, you instantly have access to ALL previously recoded sessions, too!
- We'll come together to explore a different coaching theme based on posts shared on The Coaching Sketchnote Book blog.
- Each session acts as model for your own coaching. You'll leave with new opening moves, ideas for teacher conversation and collaboration and tools and templates you can try with your own teachers tomorrow.
- There are bonus resources, too! Ready-to-go While You Wait slides, a growing collection of curated opening slides for professional learning and a bank of quotes and images to inspire your teachers are shared each month, too!
